JD is a Winner!

The local interschool annual Dance Fever competition was held on Wednesday night at the local PCYC (Police Citizens Youth Club). Students from years 4 to 7 at Mt Larcom and Yarwun, Central State School, Calliope State School, and South State School joined together in the event. Students have been training hard in various dance styles including the Cha Cha.

I was absolutely thrilled when JD won the Cha Cha section for grade 7 students! I hadn't realised until the event, how much more comfortable he feels about his body and how gracefully he has developed in the past year.

Central State School was named as overall winner of the event, with Calliope State School a close second place.
