Bad Poetry: I am Not Like a Caterpillar

Once again another one of my bad poems to help you through your day. At least I hope you've made it this far without being ill.

This particular poem that I deliberately wrote badly seemed to resonate with some readers who actually thought it was good, which I thought was hilarious.

I AM NOT LIKE A CATERPILLAR
I am not
like a caterpillar
Me with my stumbling
fumbling
bumbling tread
And he with his dainty
step …
step …
step …

I am not
like a caterpillar
He with his wrapping
trapping
napping cocoon
And I
with my glass eye
Clawed toes
Hooked nose
Moustache
Skin rash
Teeth gaped
Oddly shaped
Lumpy,
dumpy,
bumpy body

I am not
like a butterfly
