Our Christmas Tree - Grew!

I mentioned in an earlier entry that for years I've used a very small Christmas tree each year, standing only about 30cm in height.

Last year we bought a life-size Christmas tree which folds back neatly into a box. While admittedly it does look rather fake, it was lovely to be able to work together as a family and decorate it for the first time.

A number of the drop decorations are hand-made.

So now, this will become one of our family traditions, and because the tree is easy to put up and take down, we won't have the added frustration of having to put an entire Christmas tree together, one branch at a time.

We also put up our Christmas lights at the same time. They are lit up by the power of the sun - yep, solar lights! Can't wait to buy more for next year - we have two extra railings at the front (10m long) we can place them on.
