Some Recent Bird Photos: August 2011

These photos were all taken from our back verandah in the last month.

This laughing kookaburra and his mate
were helping themselves to a feed
of live termites.

This male Australian King Parrot has been
hanging around our neighbourhood
for a while now, but I've never seen
a female - guess he must be lonely.

Spangled drongo

Brown honeyeater - they may not be the most
beautiful birds, but they sing beautifully.

Hello Dude,

Really, all birds are sitting in attractive positions. Nice shot you have taken of the birds. The male Australian king parrot is looking so beautiful. Its tail feathers are a deep blue and beak is a notable red with a black tip. Thanks for sharing it.....
