Some Butterfly Photos

It has only been in the last couple of years that I have spent any time trying to identify moths and butterflies and other insects as well as Australian birds. The one thing I have discovered is how difficult they can be to identify!

JD took a photo of this as yet unidentified butterfly some time ago which may possibly be a Wonder Brown (Heteronympha Mirifica) shown below:

I was quite startled recently when I spotted this butterfly below. It looked rather boring with its wings closed, and then it opened up its wings to reveal the lovely bright orange.

Leafwing (Doleschallia bisaltide)
Same as the butterfly below

Leafwing (Doleschallia bisaltide)
Agove is the SAME butterfly with its wings closed
Following are some of the butterfly photos that I've shared previously, for your enjoyment:
Blue Tiger (Tirumala Hamata)
Common Crow (Euploea core)
Common Eggfly (Hypolimnas Bolina)

Lemon Migrant (Catopsilia Pomona)

Clearing Swallowtail or Big Greasy (Cressida Cressida)

White-margined Grass Dart (Ocybadistes Hypomeloma)
Hopefully this is the correct identification!

Orchard Swallowtail in flight (Papilio Aegeus)
