Ok, so what was the April Fool's Day trick I played on the radio this year? It went something like the following:
"We've had advice that because of moisture problems in the telephone lines after all the recent rains, service providers will be allocating some time before shops open, to rectifying the problem.
Between now and 8.30am they will be sending super-heated air through the phone cables to dry up the remaining moisture, and should you pick up the phone during this time, you may find it uncomfortable in your ear. The heated air may affect the lines temporarily and you are requested NOT to answer the phones if they ring between now and 8.30am."
I think most of the listeners got the joke! Either that or their service providers are a bit confused about the irate calls they received. ©
